HOW DOES GUIDED IMAGERY WORK?
Guided imagery is a conscious, intentional use of your imagination, which accesses your sub-conscious mind via sensory images. Because our bodies cannot distinguish the difference between reality and images created in our mind, sensory images evoke the same chemical and physiological reactions, as do real events.
~These chemical reactions have a direct and positive affect on the immune system as modulation of neurotransmitters, neuropeptides, and messenger molecules are occurring within the body.
